I've was in Birmingham recently to be trained as a Youth Mental Health First Aider at Mind Birmingham, along with another leader from the annual youth week. I had already completed the adult MHFA course through work, but the youth course was hugely valuable, and went in to more specifics about youth related issues.
The MHFA courses are extremely useful to help understand mental health, and learn how to better support anyone who may be in crisis, or concerned about their mental health. More information can be found on their website, here.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and BBC Three have an excellent video online about the phrase "man up". They also shared the statistics that 1 in 4 British men have thought about taking their own life, and that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. Mind, the mental health charity, have a lot of good resources on their website for anyone who wants more information.
