The Loneliness of the Drunk Mathematician
She is a golden ratio of perfect proportions.
Prismatoid heels clicking over polished Penrose tiles,
long-lashed eyes framing emerald fractal irises.
Her dress a kaleidoscope of shimmering sinusoidal waves.
He longs to trace the serpentine curve of her neck.
Gently map the Cartesian coordinates of her hips.
Sweep an arc sufficient to enclose her figure,
then overlay their shapes to create a new topography.
But attraction, he knows, is a thing best left to physicists.
Love cannot be derived from first principles.
So he decants perspective from non-Euclidian optics,
then plots his staggering route home, alone.
Die Glocke
Our dimension existences tangle
Farhome deep buried earth-dome
Farhome rich oxygen sky-breath
Farhome loud echo surge-sound
Our violaceous nectar swirls
Turnwise sinister push-down
Turnwise dexter pull-up
Turnwise whirlpool prison-drum
Our alloy dreamwaves flash
Crisscross green dirt-shapes
Crisscross grey fur-smalls
Crisscross white shine-suits
